T500 Electropneumatic Transducer (I/P, E/P)

Economical and reliable electrical conversion to pressure

The ControlAir Type-500X converts a current or voltage input signal to a linearly proportional pneumatic output pressure. This versatile instrument is designed for control applications that require a high degree of reliability and repeatability at an economical cost.

The Type-500X is available in two different versions. The lower range model is designed for standard process control applications which typically utilize a 3 to 15 psig output. The extended range unit provides up to 145 psig output for higher pressure industrial pneumatic and process control system requirements.

T550X Miniature I/P, E/P Transducer

Accurate and economical electronic pressure control

The Type-550X is an electronic pressure regulator that converts a variable signal (current or voltage) to a proportional pneumatic output. Its compact housing, accessible ports and easy adjustments provide an ideal answer to applications that are space-constrained. This economical instrument provides precision air pressure regulation to actuators, valves, positioners and other final control elements. An integral volume booster provides high flow capacity, increasing control speed in critical applications.

Multiple choices for wiring and porting simplify installation and decrease the time required to do so. In addition to standard wall, panel or pipe mounting, optional DIN rail and manifold mounting kits are available. The ControlAir Type-925 Multifunction Manifold provides a common supply port and individual shutoff valves for sets of 3, 5, 10 or 15 units.

T590X I/P Transducer

Compact Size, Vibration Insensitive

The Type-590X I/P (current to pressure) transducer converts a variable electrical signal to a linearly proportional pneumatic output. The small size, light weight and immunity to shock and vibration make it ideal for use in process control applications.

Conversion technology utilizing open loop control and a low mass magnet produces accurate pressure control at an economical cost. The Type-590X can mount in any position and is impervious to RFI/EMI interference.

Multiple choices for wiring and porting simplify installation and decrease the time required to do so. In addition to standard wall, panel or pipe mounting, optional DIN rail and manifold mounting kits are available. The ControlAir Type-925 Multifunction Manifold provides a common supply port and individual shutoff valves for sets of 3, 5, 10 or 15 units.

T595XP Explosion-Proof I/P Transducer

High level of regulation accuracy and repeatability for the operation of actuated valves

The Type-595XP Explosionproof I/P (current to pressure) transducer converts a 4–20mA electrical current signal to a proportionally linear pneumatic output. The unique conversion technology utilizing open loop control provides a high level of accuracy and repeatability for the operation of actuated valves. A low mass control circuit provides consistent output in high vibration applications.

This compact unit is housed in an explosion proof enclosure that is designed for pipe, bracket or direct manifold mounting. This explosion-proof and intrinsically safe field device is available with an integral volume booster or as a low-flow signal converter that directly mounts to a pneumatic valve positioner. The Type-595XP has worldwide agency approvals for use in hazardous areas.

T900X Miniature I/P, E/P Transducer for Electronic Air Pressure Control

Self -correcting to maintain precise control

The Type-9OOX l/P, E/P transducers are a series of compact electronic pressure regulators that convert an electrical signal (current or voltage) to a proportional pneumatic output. Utilizing internal solid-state feedback circuitry, the Type-9OOX provides precise, stable pressure outputs to final control elements. Immunity to the effects of vibration or mounting position, high tolerance to impure air, and low air consumption make this unit ideal for use in demanding applications.

The heart of this unique technology is a bimorph piezo actuator that is encapsulated in a protective skin. This protective skin provides defense against the humidity and contaminants often found in process operating environments.

T925 Multifunction Supply Manifold

A common supply port with individual shut-off valves

The T925 Multifunction Manifold provides a common supply port to our T900X I/P, E/P transducers. Manifolds are available to hold 3, 5, 10 and 15 units. Inlet ports feature a patented individual shut-off valve that allows safe on-line service or modification with supply pressure on. Individual units may be installed or removed without effecting other units on the manifold. Construction of the manifold is simple and flexible. Connection ports thread easily into the I/P, E/P units. No additional hardware such as check valves or adapter kits are required. The T925 is DIN rail mountable (optional). The T925 can also be used as a common output manifold for solenoid valves.

T950XP Explosion-Proof I/P Transducer

Process reliable and field rugged

Now there's a compact I/P transducer that delivers reliable high performance for the toughest applications in the most hazardous environments: the T950XP from ControlAir.The 950XP converts an electrical current signal to a stable, pneumatic output to actuate valves. Its NEMA 4X (IP65) housing is designed for both Intrinsically Safe* and Explosion-Proof* operation. Advanced circuitry includes electronic feedback control for superior vibration protection and highly accurate output.

With flow rates up to 12 SCFM(20m3/hr), the 950XP has the muscle to drive large valves and actuators. Yet because it typically consumes only .05 SCFM (0.11m3/hr), it not only costs less to buy, it costs less to operate as well. And because it takes impure air in stride, downtime is reduced, too.

The 950XP gives you big flexibility. Its small footprint can fit into tight spots. Its standard mounting bracket lets you mount it directly on a valve, wall, panel, or pipe. Optional, field-selectable process output ranges reduce downtime and inventory. And since the 950XP is position insensitive, it gives you even more freedom in mounting and connecting to valves and instruments. As a result of this flexibility, installation goes faster. Easy access Zero and Span adjustments make bench or field calibration quick and easy. For operating versatility, you may choose direct, reverse, and split range modes.

I/PAC Integrated Process Air Control

Field rugged, quick mount I/P - airset assemblies

Explosion-proof field mounted I/P transducers from ControlAir are now offered as an integrated package that comes preassembled with a filter regulator and pressure gauge. Users can choose from different versions of either the Type-950XP or Type-595XP I/P combined with the Type-330 filter regulator. The package is bracketed to mount on a 2" pipe as well as directly onto valve yokes or other devices that utilize 2.25" bolt spacing. Integrated units carry all agency hazardous area approvals from FM, CSA and ATEX.

P200 Pneumatic-to-Current P/I Transducers

ControlAir's Dahl P200 P/I transducer represents outstanding value in pneumatic to current technology. All solid state circuitry converts standard 3-15, 3-27 or 6-30 psig instrument air into 4-20 or 10-50 mA outputs (4-20 mA only for FM and CSA approval) with uncompromising accuracy and durability. Custom pressure ranges are also available. The P200's explosion-proof housing allows it to stand up to the most hazardous and demanding applications. The P200 is FM approved and CSA certified as NEMA 4 (Enc. 4) for all locations and explosion-proof for Class I, Div. 1, Groups A, B, C, D; dust ignition-proof for Class II, Div. 1, Groups E, F, G; and suitable for Class III, Div. 1 locations.

Custom pressure ranges are also available. P290 serves in high-density and panelmounted applications and is available with high density DIN rail adapters, offering space saving flexibility with easy plug-in installation.

T5500 Multi-station, Digital-to-Pneumatic Pressure Regulator with DeviceNet™ or Profibus ™

4, 6, or 8 station air pressure control from a common air supply

This multi-station manifold uses a common air supply to provide electronic proportional control of output pressure from any combination of 4, 6, or 8 station units through the use of a DeviceNet™ or Profibus™ communication network. An 8-bit digital signal describing the required output pressure for each electronic regulator is sent by DeviceNet™ or Profibus™ to the T5500 node. The T5500 converts the digital signal into the appropriate 4-20mA signal that is sent to each corresponding I/P transducer which adjusts output pressure to the desired setting. An optional pressure sensor feeds back a diagnostic signal by DeviceNet™ or Profibus™ to the controller, which then monitors pressure output from each I/P.

L100 Bubble Tube Liquid Level System

Precision Transmission of Liquid Level in Open Tanks

The Dahl L100 Bubble-Tube Level System is a fully self contained instrument, requiring only connections to air or gas supply, dip tube and electrical power source to provide precise level indication. Because only the stationary dip tube and the purge gas come in contact with the liquid, this system is ideal for applications involving hazardous locations or liquids which are highly corrosive, viscous, hot, (molten metal), explosive, slurry type or floodstuff. In addition, the electronic output from the L100 is compatible with almost all analog instrumentation, including local and remotely-located indicators, computers, data loggers, recorders and controllers.
